A food drive for the benefit of Clark County Food Banks and Share is an important part of the Clark County Connects Day of Service!! We invite all volunteers to bring food items and clothing donations with them to the kick-off event at Share on the morning of September 12 or to one of the collection points in the North county areas. The donated food items will be sorted and delivered to the food banks to benefit our friends and neighbors in need.
Here is a list of items the food banks need most.
□ Canned meats (tuna, chicken, salmon, corned beef) □ Canned fruits
□ Canned vegetables □ Peanut butter and other nut butters
□ 100% fruit juice (canned, plastic, or boxed) □ Cooking oil and olive oil
□ Low-sugar fruit, dried fruit, jams and jellies □ Canned and dried beans (pinto, black, kidney, refried)
□ Canned stew, chili, hearty soups and broth □ Canned and boxed meals
□ Boxed macaroni and cheese □ Pasta, rice, cereal, corn meal □ Canned tomato products (whole, paste, spaghetti sauce)
□ Shelf-stable milk □ Other healthy, low-fat, low-sugar products □ Ethic spices and sauces (mole, enchilada, cumin, etc)
To ensure food safety, Clark County Food Bank cannot use:
